Bermans Iskandar, MD, is a Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics, Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery, Director of the CNS Regeneration Laboratory, and co-Director of the Brachial Plexus Clinic at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI (Bermans Iskandar
Dr. Iskandar has served on multiple university and hospital committees such as the UW School of Medicine Tenure Committee, the UW Medical Board, and the UW Medical Foundation Finance Committee. Nationally, Benny has served as Treasurer and currently serves as Secretary of the AANS/CNS Section on Pediatric Neurosurgery and as a Director on the American Board of Pediatric Neurosurgery.
Dr. Iskandar has been the Van Wagenen Lecturer at the 2015 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting, the Joan Venes Visiting Professor at the University of Michigan Health System, as well as a visiting professor at multiple other U.S. institutions. He has spoken and participated as an instructor at national and international conferences for physicians and scientists on topics related to pediatric neurosurgery and/or neural regeneration and repair. He has published over 120 articles and chapters and edited one textbook, has been a reviewer for many neurosurgical and scientific journals, and currently serves as co-editor of the Congenital Disorders Section of the ISPN Guide to Pediatric Neurosurgery.
